sub box idea.... opinions?

sub box idea.... opinions?

ok first i should explain my idea i guess this is a poorly drawn cutaway of the trunk the green is a port the blue is the car and the black is subs side by side(i have two 12") and the red is the box and the gray is amps will this work or is the shape to weird to function?and will the ports function?

I think it will need to be ported because it wont be as thick as you think it will...

it will be ported that was the green thing i was also thinkng of putting it in the same corner butt horizontal

air doesn't care about shape, as long as you have adequate airflow around the sub to keep from killing the voice coil (all the extra cooling is useless if there isn't some space around it)

interesting idea.. you'd have to go with a shallow mount driver(s) by the looks of it. good luck and post pics if you go through with it.

the picture is only a rough there may be many modifications to fit the subs i already have i think there mounting depth is 6 1/2" so the box will probably be around 8 or 9 inchs thick

you wont need a shallow mount sub i had a 15 behind my seats.. its the same idea you have.. but it was in the well and on the hump.. my 15 needs 9 or 10 inches of depth to mount and i fit it fine

do you have any pictures that i can use for refrence and is it ported and how do it sound??
