what to do with my 6x9's
Well currently the entire car behind the back seats is completly gutted. Its a street car but im going to put a cage in it, smooth the metal in the interior and paint everything black.
my question is what to do about my 6x9's. With no sail panel i currently have two mediocre mids screwed into a piece of mdf.
i asked a friend who knows a bit about stereos if i should consider moving the mids somewhere else because i have the entire area behind my seats, but he said that actually they would sound the best leaving them inside the sail panels.
if people agree i guess ill just make a metal plate to go over the speaker to make the 6x9 just look like its in the sheetmetal in the side of the car.
any ideas welcome

My advice would be to eliminate the rear speakers all together and focus on your front stage. Anything you do behind you is going to make it sound like the concert is behind you.
You can build some kickpods, and that will improve the overall sound 100%.

its not an audio focused car, im going to put the best thing i can find in the front dash, but thats probably about it.
I dont think eliminating my rear speakers is the answer for this car, just trying to figure out what to do with them.

Hey 19doug90 Id reccomend keeping the 6X9's in there just get some decent ones, fully upgrade your audio system front and back. If your like me and have a loud exhaust system on your camaro you want some good speakers that can be heard over it.
