Rattling Heat Shield Muffler / Gas Tank...

I don't see well enough to find if it's cracked, or needs to be welded... but I know it rattles...

Can these be removed without removing muffler? (after market Flowmaster)

To fix it, not leave out... I don't want the gas to quickly expand

Should I throw a piece of sound deadening stuff on it?

Any suggestions to make it stop rattling!!!

Thanks,

Raf

Remove the heat shield or buy two large hose style band clamps to hold it. Or turn down your bass.

1. Remove the heat shield...

Is this safe?

I have some Damplifier Pro (like Dynamat Xtreme with Aluminum) if I remove the heat shield, should I place a sheet of this on the gas tank?

2. Buy two large hose style band clamps to hold it.

3. Turn down your bass....
Its not just the bass (at least not yet), but the exhaust sometimes...

I'm more inclined to remove it if there are no ill effects or fireowrks...

I used Dynamat where my heat shield was.
