Single 12 ported well box

I was wondering if anyone had a sub box in their well that only really took up half of the space. If so I would like to know if you have the dimensions of the box.

Re: Single 12 ported well box

I have one for a 10in JL W3 that only takes up half the well space, it's sitting right next to my nitrous bottle. The dimensions were oddly enough the JL recommended specs for a vented enclosure in the older (2005) W3 manual.

Re: Single 12 ported well box

This was slapped together to get the car ready for King of the Street this year, the wiring to the amp is usually tucked behind the carpet and the back plastic DOES fit with all of that in there. This sub is very loud and clean sounding with the Punch 300S running it bridged running in series (sub is dual 2 ohm for a 4ohm total load). it's all running from a pretty base model Pioneer deck.

Re: Single 12 ported well box

The enclosures dimensions are 16 X 15.5 X 11, it's 1 cubic foot. The port measures 3 X 14in. This enclosure sounds awesome but it got wet AGAIN *this is the second one I've built* and I'm probably going to end up getting rid of it. I highly recommend you bed line whatever box you build for the well.

Re: Single 12 ported well box

Awesome! Thank you... I can probably make something like that for my 12 right? Do you know about what dimensions I would need for that?

What kind of 12 is it? What kind of power are you running and what ohm is the woofer?

It's for a single 10, wouldn't be much bigger for a single 12.
