I'm going to be installing a Sirius ready head unit in my 85 Camaro and plan to add the Kenwood SR-902 Sirius receiver. Maybe I missed in my search, but I didn't find examples of where people have mounted their SR-902's. Is there room behind the passenger side dash? Any experience - good or bad - would be much appreciated.

I mounted my Panasonic Sirius receiver (about the same size as your Kenwood) under my driver's seat. Seems to be a good fit and have had no problems.

Do you have a power or manual seat?

I just bought my car last Wednesday, so I haven't pulled the dash off yet to see how much room is back there. Do I just need to take the bottom section off or did you remove the vertical part as well?

Should fit with no problems under the driver seat, also try the glove compartment area in the hatch. Here's where I put my sirius head unit

I put mine under the rear passenger seat and run my antenna up the sail pannel and just above the light on my 92. Had to take the console out and run the cable back to the rear seat under the carpet though. I have the X990.

I just took the bottom section out. It only really fits in one spot up under there(by the ECM), but fits nice regardless.

I was talking about the box with everything controlled through a head unit. I hate anything extra on my dash (just a personal preference) and this system looks like a regular CD player except for the little Sirius antenna. I would hate to have someone mess up my car to discover that there's nothing valuable in it.

Perfect - that's just what I needed to know. Thanks much. Counting down the days to banishing crappy terrestrial radio from my car!

I have manual seats, but it may still fit under a power seat.

From the owner's manual - (W × H × D) 7-7/16 × 1-3/16 × 5-3/4 in. It might fit, I used to have a Pioneer XM reciever sitting (not mounted) on the hump under the head unit. Believe it or not, it was "professionally" installed by Magnolia Hi-Fi (owned by Best Buy)-I'll never have them work on my car again.
