What are the best speakers that I can put in my 83 Z28 w/out any mods?

First rule, you usually get what you pay for...

Jenson $ 25 vs MB Quart @ $250.... Not only does the MB Quart sound better, but it will also outlast the Jenson.

The best thing to do, is to take a cd of your favorite tracks down to a place that has some, play it, and listen to the songs you like... The speakers you like most will shine through...

I personally like hard / metal / titanium tweeters as opposed to the soft dome... my preference...

Let your ears decide, what they like best, with music you know and like.... Though the amp is also an important factor, a nice set of speakers may also reveal things in a song you hadn't previously heard...

Go to a audio store and listen. Don't ask random people because you will just get a endless amount of different models and people saying this is louder and better then this... Its all person preference and budget size
Go shop around if you like what you hear go on ebay and save a few bucks if your in no hurry.

I got alpines and they are nice and loud and clean.
