dash speaker question

Re: dash speaker question

Im no expert but I installed a pair of 4x6's under the dash pad..I have a camaro so Im not exactly sure if TA's are different....
the original wiring from the stereo have a "special" connection at the end where the speaker is connected but if you say that you dont have any wires at all I dont see why you cant just run +/- wires down to the unit..unless there is also another "special" connection behind the radio pod...

Re: dash speaker question

Not sure if it will help you at all, but when wiring up my dads cd player in his 86 monte SS, I used a metal coat hanger and bent it to find its way to where i could run some speaker wire and then bent a loop in the hanger, stuck the wire in and pulled it up through, worked flawlessly for me.

Re: dash speaker question

im not too worried right now about adding the dash speakers atleast i got some tunes to listen to for now idk how well ill be able to hear it cause of my exhaust but we'll see.ill look around a lil more and see if i find any wires. i had a heck of a time wireing the radio up since the guy before had cut the plugs off and then had the head unit stolen later down the road so it was all kinda pulled and torn up
----------
thanks 885speed ill try that
