Brown Wire Isues

1989 firebird stock radio harness does anyone know what the brown wire and the black wire with a light blue stripe are for ??

Brown should be the dim signal that will dim the faceplate.

I'm not sure about the black though. Could that be the noise wire that keeps ignition noise from coming through the radio?

brown wie is def a dim signal. i accidentally hooked it up as the ground once. it worked until i turned the head lights on! haha then i pocked like 2 fuses.....lesson well learned

Thanks guys i guess i will have to hook up a direct ground to the frame or battery then cause i do not have a black wire in the factory harness, weird not to have one i think thou you would think they would have a black ground wire in the harnes.
