About a week ago, my Alpine stopped reading my ipod. It still charges the ipod and recognizes its there, but doesnt not play any music.
Previously, when all was well, i would get a "connected to Alpine" screen on my Ipod, now thats not there.
Any ideas?

Check the wire see if its loose or cut maybe? if not if you know any1 else with a alpine try the same wire on their deck to see if the wire is some how faulty or if it just the ipod.Originally Posted by cali92RS

I didnt mention in the previous post that i placed a broken phone charger into the cig lighter plug which caused sparking. I checked the cars fuses, none were tripped. I wonder if the problems are related...

check the wires on the KCA unit. i had a similar issue where mine woudnt charge my ipod but it read it. unhooked everything then reconnected it all and it magicly works. i blame the gremlin in my car
