Replace cassette radio with CD unit

I have an 89 T/A, with a delco lock cassette unit that is locked. I would like to buy a CD radio to replace it with. I also have the steering wheel controls.
Anyone?

OK so you'll need a wiring harness and maybe a antenna adapter plus you'll need to get a head unit. Best buy is the best place, has everything and if you don't want to do install it they well for a small-ish fee (but really it is easy to D.I.Y.). Steering wheel controls from what I see well not work by them selves with aftermarket. Tho I have seen things on the web that say they can make you stock steering wheel controls work with aftermarket radio. Here is a adapter that a ran across, mite work no promises. Good luck

The only thing that looks like sucks out of that kit is you'd have to drill a hole to mount the IR LED, and have it pointing at your headunit. Some aftermarket decks have steering wheel controls built it, but I don't think they're very common.

Eclipse models seem to support steering wheel controls more than other models. Call up Crutchfield and see if someone can point you in the right direction.

Re: Replace cassette radio with CD unit

Thanks guy's,
I will look into it, I was hoping to find another Delco unit with a CD player instead of the cassette unit in there now. So it looked stock...
