Stock 92 CD player aint working

Everything on the radio works fine except that. I hit the eject button thinking something may have been in there but it wasn't, and then I tried to insert a cd but it wouldn't take it. I just picked up the car yesterday and don't really have that much past knowledge of it but any help would be appreciated.

Rip it out and put in a aftermarket radio, you will eventually do it anyway and you will be much happier! Thats just my two cents, good luck!

I'll trade you for either my stock tape player or my sony explod. You really don't want that garbage cd player that GM installed in there do you

I don't know I may one day Igo ahead and put in the aftermarket cd player but right now I just spent all my money on getting the car on the road and have to fix a few things on it before I can get anything else for it. And I would probly wait to sell or trade it till I save up some money to upgrade the rest of the sound system with it at the same time. I just need to get it playing cd's in the mean time

Yep! Why punish yourself settling with a stock radio. Just keep that stock and go for an aftermarket radio man. That won't hurt much. Trust me.

I'd be very interested in that deck if it has the yellow lettering and is in good cosmetic shape... A little cash to help go towards that new unit - or those pesky bills...

Re: Stock 92 CD player aint working

I dont know about the oem CD player. But I got the factor tape deck labeled Bose Gold. It sounds great. I just wish mine were a factory CD.

If it dont work. Open it up and see if you can find what is wrong. Already broke why not try.
I did that with the built in DVD player on my TV. A plastic pin broke and the gears went touching. A very small screw is all I needed to put the pin back in place. Not much dif from a DVD to a CD player.

Hey, I'll pay you for that CD player if you still have it! ....you should get enough to buy a nice aftermarket radio. The OEM units aren't that great but I'm in this gig for the original stuff. If it's not gone give me a shout! (and please don't give it away!!)

Thanks,
Greg
