Re: may be Tubes??

MOSFET is just a technical name for one of the two types of transistors, which is what all amps are really based on. That would be no different than any other well put together (or technically speaking cheaply put together) amp. You'll probably have vibrations issues breaking tubes.

BAM http://www.uncrate.com/men/gear/car-...be-car-stereo/

We started the site you're reading right now for products like this. The Panasonic CQ-TX5500D ($950) is the only car stereo that we know of that features a built-in vacuum tube amplifier for all the retro-sounding overtones you so desperately desire. It plays CD, CD-R, CD-RW and MP3 discs, and emits an orange glow that you can see through the middle window when you're rocking out. The double-din stereo, which will fit in many import cars (and get rid of that stupid empty pocket thing in your dash at the same time), also sports old school meters that have needles instead of LEDs.

Re: may be Tubes??

My home stereo is all tubes and the only source is ANALOG VINYL.

I belong to an online group called WWW.AudioKarma.org.
My second-favorite group is WWW.AudioAsylum.com
Both deal with all sorts of audio, such as tube, turntable, digital sources, reel to reel, etc.

Join the groups for free and ask questions. You might get some surprising answers.

You are not alone in your search for Hi-Fi sound.

And, by the way, I hate digital audio with a passion.
