Camaro dash speakers with grill covered... will it work?
My fiance was wanting to help out on my car so I car her my crack all to hell dash and let her take a hot glue gun and black vinyl to it. I didn't bother trying to fill in the cracks since there was just a temporary thing but other than where the cracks stick up a little bit I think it looks better than factory. Now my question is since the dash was out I went to Walmart and bought some pioneer 4x6's to replace the stock set up and on the dash she had to cover the speaker grill. Will this work or is it going to have to have air coming through it. Its not thick but I didn't know if it would make them really suck or what. With no dash they sound great for the price and I would really like to not have my dash blowing up and down with the air pressure or anything haha.

Wth them covered, your basically "sealing" the face.
Yes, they'll breathe SOME. But depending on how well you glued down the new cover, they'll "bump" up & down. Will it fully come loose? Doubtful.
I would consider cutting slots for the speakers to breathe & sound to come through clear & using something like a soldering iron to"cauterize" the edges of the slots to stop them from ripping.

Ok update. I put the dash on but didn't bolt it down just put pressure with my hand and its sounds just as it did with now dash.
Thanks for the input Stephen I was wondering a little about that. I am hoping to start my forth gen interior swap sometime in the next year when I get some money I am just trying to by time cheaply as possible right now haha. then only problem we are having with it now is the defroster hole and making the edges look half way decent to where you don't see much of the crease or the under side of it. I will be going over to the interior to throw some pics up so I don't overrun onto the audio board with this
