Cool, Glad you got it. When you reported back that you did infact buy a adapter from Best Buy and your wiring was good, I decided to pull out the service manual and see exactly where the wires go. Why in the heck they call it a convienence center is beyond me, it sure isn't convienent to put the radio fuse is there?????? Good Job!! and I'm glad I was able to help

thank you very much again. I have the Haynes repair manual, and the owners manual and neither one said anything about the convenience center. It was all worth it though... Seriously, I you did live around here, I would take you somewhere for lunch or something just for ****in looking for me. That was the first project I did on my own on the car, or any car (im 16) so when I screwed it up I panicked a little bit. I know only basic things about electical wiring, but I'm really glad how it turned out. I ended up re connecting the HD tuner to the same electrical connections as the first time and it worked like a charm. I must have shorted something out, trying to do it too fast the first time. I crimped all of the connections, and then I wraped electrical tape around the power connections just to be extra sure. I ended up puttin the HD tuner under the passenger seat, and running the wires under the center console. here are a couple of pics, and a video I took (of course youtube made it soo dark you cant see anything.....) I also figured out that if you take out the ash tray, the remote fits perfectly its really cool.

Here in this last image I circled the place in the "convenience center" that the 20" amp fuse was in. It wasn't that hard to get to, but it still wasn't fun in 20 degree weather... damn, you should have seen how excited I was when I saw it was blown!

lOOKS LIKE YOU HAVE A NICE CAR!!! If you plan on keeping it and working on it yourself, try and find an original repair manuel for the car. The Haynes books just don't have everything. My car came with an original one when I bought it. The money I saved and the knowledge I gained is priceless. It will explain EVERYTHING about your car. Also get a voltmeter with an OHM section to measure resistance. These are must haves and something you'll use over and over again. Just try and get a good meter.....not a $10.00 harbor frieght special. Sears has some good ones or look on-line for a Fluke 77 or something. That way you'll never have to second guess the readings and also you'll have it for the rest of your life......Makes a good birthday present from Dad or something. I've had my car for awhile now and have done a TON of stuff on it already. Anytime you need help on something, just pm me and I'll try and help the best I can. Talk to ya later. Chris

Well I really appreciate you helping me out. If you wouldn't have done that for me, I most definitely would have had to take it in. I added you on my buddy list, and probably will take you up on that offer.
