Help me set up a system!
Well I would like a nice but not amazing sound system. I have a lot of nice components that may be of use to help create it. This is what I have:
Jensen 7inch Touch screen Head unit (VM9311TS)
MB Quart RWE160
MB Quart DCE116
2 MB Quart Tweeters
JL Audio 10 inch Sub (10W3V2-D2)
Lanzar Vibe 6x9 (Unknown model)
I realize that I need to make a box. But this is going into a convertible. So any tips to how I should go about making this box for my 10 inch and hold amps would be great.
Now I do not know a lot at all about speakers at all so please if you describe what you are saying in a way. Also I do not want to spend too much money on it so off brands are allowed. Yes I know, your get what you pay for but I am not going to tear the crap out of my speakers.
Any help would be great!!!

If your not looking for amazing sound quality or expensive name brand items then whats wrong with what you have now? But as far as building a box do a search there are a few threads with other members showing their build for a vert box. I just finished my box for my hatch and the best advice I can give you is to measure it and do it yourself. A really good website to buy good quality sound equipment and they have great prices too is www.sonicelectronix.com. I have purchased many items from them and I would not hesitate to buy more!

go to that website and look at power aqustic amps, they are really good amps for both subs and interior sound, and they are rather inexpensive compared to other brands. I'd start there or look in the classified sections on here I have seen some members selling car audio and at really good prices too.

Thats just some ideas, and those are really good products and good prices. If I would you I'd start piecing it together and then build yourself a solid box out of 3/4 MDF. You can see my complete build of my sound system in my camaro at my cardomain site in my signiture.

Re: Help me set up a system!
Today I was speaking to my local car audio place and they suggested a PDX-5 Digital Amp and when I asked for the price I giggled inside; $600. I have been thinking about it and I was going to do the following:
- Replace the 2 stock 4x6's upfront with something cheap (Suggestions?)
- Put the RWE 160 Midranges in the door panels (http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=2977)
- Put the tweeters in the each side of the A-Pillar ( I can't find specs them anywhere. They are MB Quarts)
- Keep the Lanzar Vibe things in the sails (Will get more info on those soon but I did notice there were movable tweeters in the center of the speaker but I am unsure if that is connected to the speaker or if I will have to run seperate stereo wire)
- And in the trunk put the 10" JL towards the rear in the center of the well
- Put the two DCE 116 Speakers in the top left and rear of the trunk ( I could not find ANY info on this speaker as if it didn't exist but I came across the DKE 116 which looks and has same specs as the DCE 116 so. http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=991)
- Finally put 1 or 2 amps, depending on what you guys tell me, in the top center. Now which would you guys suggest. Buy 2 cheap amps and seperate the speakers into 2 or 1 semi-cheap amp to power all my speakers?
Power Aqustic make great amps here is a basic model amp that would be perfect to run your 2 6x9's in your sail pannels
