The subs and the hatch

i have about 3000 watts of power to put in a camaro but i dont want to shatter the back glass or hurt the rear hatch how much power can one handle before it all goes to hell

THE GLASS IS TEMPERED!!!! IT WILL NOT SHATTER! IT IS LIKE UR FRONT WINDOW UNLESS U THROW A ROCK AT IT U ARE OOOK STOP ASKING THESE QUESTIONS PEOPLE!
3000 watts... good luck with that hope u got a large alt and a 2nd bat or something to give you that kind of power. Hope u know your ****. have fun

Your not going to shatter the glass with 3000 watts, but I for one am very interested to hear what you are planning on running in the hatch?

right now i have two power bass 10s xxxl i need to buy an amp still and another alt and cap right now i dont know what i am goin to do with the box

Not to mention the fact that cars leak air live sieves. Most of the time seals pop before glass shatters.

You will need 3 Optima or Kinetic batteries, preferably the I think yellow tops that discharge and recharge fast, like capacitors, you'll need a 2-3cap bank, and 2 (at least) 120 amp alternators under the hood, you'll need a #0-4 wire, (no, not 0-4gauge, #0-4) and yeah, thats around $700-900 easily.

he will need 3 or 4 farad cap...3 minimum...1 farad for every 1k watts...i have a 2 farad cap that i paid well over 150 for and it still isnt enough for my 2k watt system...
