Opinions on this amp.....
Hey guys, what do you think of this amp?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AIT&viewitem=
I bought a Camaro a few months ago and it has a Targa amp in the back that I think is blown. It has 4 speakers hooked to it and I only have two from opposite sides of the car working. I'm not looking to have a killer system, just want something that sounds decent at a fair price and replaces what I have now without having to rewire the car. Is it possible that the head unit could be causing the problem? I know very little about car stereo. Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Opinions on this amp.....
i wouldnt know how to tell you to test the head unit unless you take and bench test it, the amp seems good, i got a cheap amp for my 10's (rockford p2's) and it kicks some major butt.....i keep it turned down, the best way to describe the way i like it is like how a caddy with a factory sub sounds, its enough to feel it and shake few things (i still had to put sound mat down) but it aint crazy, now if i crank it, it gets pretty hard, what im getting at is you will prob be ok with that cheap amp since you said
"sounds decent at a fair price"
now you could have bad speakers to you may want to swap the speaker wires and see if the others work that way
someone thaty knows alot should chime in to help more

Re: Opinions on this amp.....
I actually got this setup to work......I had one bad speaker and replaced it with another bad speaker......
I swapped channels, changed out the speaker wires and narrowed it down. I also had the amp all misadjusted since I know nothing about amps.
After replacing the speaker and tweaking the adjustments, it sounds pretty good. Not bad for no cash outlay!
