Odd Problem

I picked up a set of pioneer 6x9s for the rear sail panels and when I installed the speaker it sounded good however

Well when I turned it up the new speaker started to fizz

So I figured I didn't get a good connection so I puled it off and when I touched the wires to the speaker it didn't work.

I pulled the other new speaker out and tried it...nothing

then as I was holding it and messin with radio it started to work a little when was fine for like ten seconds then died...

and ideas? I am guessing bad wiring really don't wanna run a new line ugh

don't get what could have happened cause nothing changed

Re: Odd Problem

While it might sound a bit funny, wiring backwards would not stop the speaker from playing, it would just be out of phase with the other speakers. It sounds like its either bad wiring, bad connection, or a bad channel on the radio's amp. You could start at the radio end and try and tap into the wiring (kinda messy), as this would tell you if you have a break in the wiring between the radio and the speaker location.
