Advice Needed

I'm a 2nd gen guy, that just moved up to the 3rd gen. I have (just picked up) a 1991 Z28 with this gapping hole were the radio is suppose to be (not damaged). I'm not into real real loud music or those base cars that you can feel for miles coming down the street, just a normal radio/CD player hooked up to the stock speakers and the same hole in the dash were the radio is suppose to be and ""LOOKS GOOD"" Face plate, fool proof hook up and anything else I need to know. Thanks for your time and any advice

There are tons of info in the TGO database on the very questions your asking.

Nice car BTW, I hope you kept the 2nd gen too

Re: Advice Needed

Pioneer used to make a nice factory fit 1 1/2 DIN headunit. It fit perfectly. Didn't need any installation kit. No filled in spaces above and below like those found on single DIN size headunits. And it fit flush as opposed to the way single DIN's stick out. I have an older one that's slightly silver but still look good. The newer ones were black and looks awesome.
Even though I think Pioneer no longer makes them, new ones still appear on the internet (Ebay, etc).
