Removing stock head unit
I need to remove the original stereo from the car and after removing the surrounding plastic and the 4 screws holding the cassette player in, I couldn't get it to come out. Am I missing something here?
Thanks.
Thanks.

if u have taken the 4 bolts off of it already then it should just pull straight out and be able to be unplugged. maybe try sticking a flat blade in between the 2 and give it a little wiggle.

Could be. I tried unscrewing that but couldn't pull it out fully either. I'll look at it again tomorrow and let you know how I get on.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Stock radio has a plastic or nylon stud on the back that fits through a hole in a metal cross brace in the radio pod (for stability of the radio and maybe alignment). It may be hanging up on that brace. You might get to it by pulling out the HVAC controls and reaching over top of the radio.
