Power Antenna, HELP!

Power Antenna, HELP!
My power antenna on my '89 gta worked fine until just last night, now the electric engine is constantly running no matter if the antenna is up or down, even if the car is off, the engine still runs...i don't want to burn it out so I have disconnected the battery, anybody have any suggestions or ideas on how to resolve this issue? I'd settle for having it non-functional, but not burnt out..

Unhook the relay. IIRC, it's on the driver's side behind the dash.

The problem is the plastic cable inside the antenna has broken. If you want to fix it, there is a pretty cheap repair kit from GM. Its not hard to fix. Do a search to find the part number.
