JVC SPeakers

I have two 12's powered by a 100watt amp and am looking to add another sub and amp.

My girlfriend bought a head unit and these two JVC 6 1/2" 240watt max speakers came with that she gave to me

I beleive i have a 600-800watt sub and am gonna get a kenwood 100watt amp from a friend

My question is do I hook up these two speakers to the kenwood amp along with the other sub? If so I do i got about doing this

Re: JVC SPeakers

the 6 1/2" will distort easyer even though they say 240watts they cant handle the low 80Hz and below levels. i would just go with the two 12" that can handle the 80Hz and below and the 600wat amp so you can turn it up louder without the smaller subs limiting you. trust me the extra subs will not gain you anything but restrict how loud you can crank it.

You won't hear a difference going from two to three 12" subs. A 1.5db gain is inaudible.

12s take a lot of room to perform correctly. First, make sure you have the right box for the subs and that they are tuned correctly.

If you want, you can replace your 6x9s with the 6.5" speakers you have. It's your call.
