I have seen bass ***** in some peoples installs and Im wondering what they do, are they a good idea and how do i install one?

i think he means the bass ***** some amps have connected to them to control the bass boost. I dont think you can just add one. your amp has to have one built in. i know kicker has done this for a while..

Just set your bass through the deck and play with the amp gains to get the bass sound you want.

I have a sony deck and it has a setting for low and one for sub. Does anyone know exactly what they really control. Please give a detailed answer, if it goes over my head I will find a way to figure it out.
