Changing from BOSE to Aftermarket.
Greetings. I recently bought an 88 IROC with the BOSE stereo option. However, one of the owners gutted everything, installed a Pioneer HU, and hooked up some crazy sound system. Now, the owner that I bought it off of, gutted everything from the car. There is no wiring for the radio, no speakers, no wires, nothing. When I bought the car, it was completely stripped of it's interior and nearly everything in it because the T-tops leak.
Anyway, I want to hook up a Pioneer HU myself, (not sure which one, I have 2), but I have no idea where to start. I don't anything about this BOSE system. The only thing I know is that there's a black box under the steering column that isn't under my other 88. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Changing from BOSE to Aftermarket.
if you're doing away with the Bose (and any decent aftermarket setup should have it beat, so go for it), you're best off to run all new speaker wires. Bose used amps at each speaker and different output levels from the deck that make things tricky. The only wiring you'll really need to the radio from the dash will be constant +12v, switched +12v (ignition), and ground. Was there anything left of the radio connectors?

Thanks for the replies. I have a total of 6 wires. There are two thick ones, a purple and a yellow. There are four small wires. One is blue, orange/black, black/white, and a lime green. They're all tied together right now.
