help with adding wpeaker with factory bose
My 92 has/had factory bose. The rear cargo area speakers are still there but has extra wires ran to them like someone bypasses the amps for them. The kick panel speakers I was told have been changed but I have not checked yet. I'm wanting to add a set of 4x6s in the dash like most 3rd gens have stock and 6x9s in the sails plus run the kick panel speakers and the ones in the hatch. I've been driving the car since july with no radio and its getting old. Can anyone give me any advice? I'm not looking for a crazy loud system I don't need a lot of bass but enough for me to enjoy having something to listen to lol.

you can connect the output from the "bose" headunit to
"normal"amps and use those to drive speakers installed
in the standard positions-you will need amps with quite
a bit of "gain"on the preamp inputs as the output from
the "bose"radios is pretty faint.

So you want to run 8 speakers? And you don't want it loud???? That's a little counterproductive to the overall goal... bass isn't going the be the killer here it will be miss and highs...
If you want to run all those speakers you will need 2 seperate amps for the speakers alone, and a deck with front rear and sub preouts, then you'll have to put the rear 4 on an amp and the front 4 on another, and you can split the front in 2 using a y splutter as well as the rears, then tune both amps to work well.
Its a big task for someone who's not experienced but it is defibitly possible.

Re: help with adding wpeaker with factory bose
well not looking to make a competition stereo or anything and not looking to lose alor of cargo space. i like to keep a tool box and my helmet in the dip in the trunk so there really isnt any room down there to place speakers or amps. i dont have to run the rear bose speakers but i hate that they will be there and not work. is it as simple as running wires from the new ash and sail panel speakers to the head unit? the headnuit i have is a pioneer premier. ive had it in two other fbodys and two diff trucks before lol.

Well your deck will only run 4 without an amp, amps have gotten smaller and more efficient now
, you can fit a Jl xd.amp under each seat if you wanted, and yes just run your speakers to your deck, only 4 tho
