Re: New system
What size fuse does the amp have? That will determine what size wire to use. There's a nice chart for that on this site...

Re: New system
If it has between 100-400,run 8 or 16 gauge
If it has over that amount, run 4 Gauge. IMO,4 is the best for any system.

Re: New system
I just found out that I can get a free extended warranty on my amp if I use the Rockford-Fosgate amp instalation kit, just found one on Amazon for $98. It has everything I need including wiring for a second amp, so if I ever decide to put in a sub and amp it will be ready to go. Thanks for the advice guys

Re: New system
since i have looked all over the car audio section and have yet to find pictures of someones box in a vert i decided i was going to do my own custom glassing which would allow me to use my trunk still.... i made a stencil to glass the side storage areas of my vert and discovered after i made the stencil that it looked awsome and would be killer when glassed..... then i scratched my head and thought..... once i build it how am i getting it IN the car..... and if i glass it in the car how will i get it back out. so i scratched the original idea of glassing the whole box to form fit the back side areas... instead i plan on making a generic MDF box which fits in the side areas and then creating a glass facade out of the stencils i made. it'll be a two peice setup and i'll have to figure out how to remove the rattles, but it should work out nice. i'd be interested to see how your box turns out and what you do so post some pics when your finished.

Re: New system
Mine will be in three parts, but I am going to run the carpet so that it looks like one when you look in. I have ideas just need to get them on paper. I want to kind of hinge it so I can swing the sides open to get behind. I may need to build an actual box that fits the entire trunk so it stays solid and rattle free. I am sur I will need lots of head scratching time lol
