Re: Had Bose system, need new one
Alright from what it sounds like you will need to put in a new stereo itself to in order for these mods to work and need you need to rewire speakers to stereo wise, I know this by my bose system taking a dump on me, 6-1/2" Speakers will fit without modifications into the rear deck lid. The kick panel speakers are 4" - now some modifications are needed and a little bit of muscle is needed - now when you open them up you will need to take the three point mounting bracket that holds the bose speaker to the box (yes the bracket does look like it is apart of the speaker but it can be removed, butyou will destroy the speaker its self when you remove it) use the bracket with the new 4" speaker to mount to the box (make sure the speaker has a small depth as possible to make reinstall as easy as possible). Now puting the driver side box back togeather youll have to put some weight on it to close and screw back together, passenger side you wont need any muscle. make sure to run new wires for all four speakers (and the small amps that the old bose speakers are hooked up to are not gonna be used anymore with the new setup.)
Hope this helped answer your question.

Re: Had Bose system, need new one
This is what I have in my car as you will see I am more favorable to the alpine brand then the other aftermarket brands:
Alpine Type-S SPS-410 Car speaker - 45 Watt (kick panels)(would recommend getting an extra set to put into your dash they fit there without modification just need to run wires.)
Alpine SPS-600 - Car speaker - 80 Watt - 2-way - coaxial - 6.5" (deck lid)
But I recommend getting more powerful 6.5 speakers then these maybe an Alpine type R 6.5" but I guess I can only garuntee that the ones I used is a direct bolt in.
