Getting factory kick panels to play along?
Hey guys, heres my dealio.
I removed the old stock bose HU and rear speakers, and replaced them with a clarion HU and some subs, along with some sail panel speakers. My question is, how would I get my factory kick panel speakers to play along with my new equipment?
I tried just plugging them into the wiring harness today and nothing happened. Any ideas?
thanks
-James

Re: Getting factory kick panels to play along?
If your talking about the bulky kick panels, then you may of had connected it incorrectly. The factory speakers have 4 wires, 2 for power. If you only connected the signal feed wires with no power, then you'll get no sound. This is how my Bose factory speakers work. Oh, i forgot to mention. The factory Bose kick panel speakers are turned on and off by using the blue wire "POWER ANTENNA". So pull the stereo, look for the power lead to the Bose kick panel internal amp, and connect it to the "Antenna Turn on Lead." You cant miss the blue wire. Its usually labeled as Power Antenna or Remote Turn-On.
