Stock Delco Unit Help

Looking for some ideas on what is going on and how to fix it. The clock never changes, the stereo wont turn on and I don't have any old tapes. Yes, I do know what a "Tape" is and how to use them

Re: Stock Delco Unit Help

Maybe the SET button is stuck "On"?

That would keep the clock from changing, and might stop the power button from working. Not completely sure.

Try pressing it in a few times and see if you feel the click of the switch...

None of the button are "stuck", they all click when pushed. I figure the radio needs to be reset, but I am not sure how. Someone gave me instructions but they were for the 4th gen delco deck with the numbers on it. Thanks for the reply

Try disconnecting the battery.

Re: Stock Delco Unit Help

The battery has been disconnected, it has been like this since I bought the car last December. I think I will be going with a new double DIN. But if I can get it to work for now I would be pacified. Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for the reply. I don't think I will be opening the deck to check the solder. I am sure it will sit on the shelf in my garage for the next 10 years collecting dust. Awesome!
