OEM Radio Don't Work
It is the original CD player in mu 1992. It only displays 0:00 and the volume bar works. It does not say "LOC"

Any suggestions?

Re: OEM Radio Don't Work
That is very weird, strange, bizarre, and ironic. I've had this identical radio along with 4 other same vintage radios for 6 months. I've been looking for an operational cd mechanism for at a decent price. The going price for a reman unit is $225. Anyway I ran across a 1996 gm radio with the same cd mech that worked. I've tried it in all 5 radios and it works. In fact I have it plugged into your identical radio listening to a classic music cd (that i don't care about in case i screw it up)
Anyway your problem sounds like a bad power switch or a blown fuse. Both the yellow wire and the orange wire have to have 12 volts with the ign on.

Ok, so I am going to take bak what I just said trying to duplicate your problem, noticing that you have 3 zeros and some volume status. Not a blown fuse. Probably not the power switch either. Try unplugging the radio for a few minutes and try it again. If it still does not work, it coud be the display or the cdm module. LMK, I have a couple of good displays and cdms that will work.

Artic,
Chances are that there is very little wrong with the CDM part of the radio. What are the symtems?

Re: OEM Radio Don't Work
I have a nearly identical problem with my UU6 radio, it shows time and I can set it, but that's it. The strange thing is that it was working perfectly before when I tested it a few times on the car power (before I had just tested it on the bench), with the AUX input, it was perfect. And then i put back the interior together and now it won't work...
I have tested several aftermarket radios and they work fine.
