find a front plate on ebay. Need an install kit like this one to fill the hole. Maybe even a newish radio pod on ebay to replace the missing tabs. Looks like wiring is converted or hacked.

Just buy a new stereo of your choice along with a stereo install kit.
Then take a trip over to www.thirdgenranch.com and get ya a
stock face plate.
Right here and only $12 bucks:

You're going to need to replace that "pod". There has obviously been a stereo theft at some point and the mounting tabs have been broken off.
You can make some mounting points but it is not really the easiest thing to do, for someone that doesn't have good fabrication skills.

Thanks for all the posts guys, i see the plate i need now but what do you use to fill in the big hole in the plate when you use a aftermarket radio? iv never worked on a fire bird radio pod before the pic i posted above is how it was when i got the car so kind of clueless... fabricating is easy no worries there but i was hoping to just buy what i need to put a radio back in...

Edit: I believe Scosche is the brand. Should list applications on the back of the package and be in the car audio aisle.

Re: What do i need to put a raido in this firebird pod?
My radio pod looks just like yours, with the radio mounting tabs broken off. See the attached pic of the one I just bought off of eBay. I still have the original tape deck so all I need are the mounting brackets that attach to the tape deck and the screws to mount in. That should be fun to find! The radio pods themselves are easy to find, always a few on eBay, just have to find one with the tabs still attached.

You could buy one of these kits and use just the brackets from them.
Alternatively, many car audio shops save these brackets when they use the kits, since they come with many bracket options, and could likely be bought for a few dollars separately.
