Re: Plans for a Box
I did this a while back, took me about a day.
Its perfect IMO. T Tops dont hit. Box CANNOT be taken out without removing the rear hatch motor cover so not easily stolen. Only other thing I would add would be a speaker grill for protection but haven't yet.
Sub is a P2D410 Fosgate. Box is on the low side of the recommended volume but it still sounds great.

Re: Plans for a Box
Recommended sealed volume by Fosgate for this sub is 0.50 to 0.85
Recommended vented volume is 1.4 with Port Diameter and Length at 4" x 14"
These dimensions put the box at 1.43 cu. ft. using 1/2" MDF
I planned on making this a vented enclosure but placing the port tube in the box before I finished it, The sub would come VERY close if not in contact with the tube. So I decided to leave it be. Still sounds good to the untrained ear.
The dimensions below are outside dimensions. Make sure you are AT or under the dimensions I have shown, anything bigger and you're not going to be able to get the box into the well of you car.

and here's the beauty of interior paneling. Hiding all the messy stuff!
