redoing my audio system.

A few years back I bought a sony xplode system from Walmart that contained a head unit. Two 6.5 speakers and two 6x9 speakers. Being young and dumb I thought this was a great deal and Sony made great speakers. Well I quickly found out I was wrong when I blew the speakers in less than a year. So for almost 2 years iv run around with a 6.5 and a 6x9 giving me sound along with my two Sony xplode 12" subs in the back with a 1000 watt amp. Well I'm tired of the system lol. I took the subs and amp out and put them in my daily driver for a little extra bass. So I'm buying components and want a review on how it should com pair to my old system.

For the dash I bought a pair of 6.5 kicker cs65s.
For the sail panels I have a set of jbl gto936s.
Iv got two Kenwood kfc-w12ps 12" subs.
And my amp is an mtx500.1 amp

Possible. Maybe the 6x9s. The 6.5s are hooked up to the head unit and they sound great. Over powering my 6x9s now.

Re: redoing my audio system.

i havent heard any of the speakers you are talking about, but in general the higher rated speakers will be drowned out by the lower power speakers, the solution most times being a amp and you can tailor the output to equalize the sound.
