passenger 6x9 not working

Hey guys. Installing some new speakers in car and so far iv got them all going except for the passenger 6x9. It use to work when I had my old Sony xplodes in it, then one day it just quit working. Well I figured I blew it as I'm not easy on speakers. Well I'm replacing them with some jbls and I still can't get it to do anything. The wiring where I spliced into the factory wiring for my after markets seem to be holding strong. And my splicing behind the radio itself is strong and looks good. Any idea from on where I should start? I'm currently removing the trim so I can look at the wire all the way back to the speaker its self, but the front speaker works fine and their on the same plug.

Re: passenger 6x9 not working

Try swapping left/right connections at the head unit to see if the other speaker quits -and/or- a continuity test of the speaker wires.

Re: passenger 6x9 not working

Thanks. It looks like the connector I was talking about earlier is the connector for both rear speakers. I'm going to try and bypass the factory wiring first and see if that works better or helps. It sucks that I can inky hear one jbl

Re: passenger 6x9 not working

continuity, put one meter lead on one of the wires by the radio and the other lead by the speaker on the same wire should read zero ohms for both wires, if not you have to fix it or run new wires
