Audio advice...

For many many years all I have worried about is going fast, never about creature features, but now I want a nice audio system for cruising. Apparently every brand that used to be good, is now crap, what is good stuff now? I'm not wanting to drop 4-5k, just around a grand total. I listen to 80's rock mainly, but also some country,70's,90's, and other stuff. I'm wanting a good all around system.

Thanks for the advice.

Re: Audio advice...

I honestly like how mine is set up. I hear every little thing and they take almost no power to get loud when you want them too. iv got jbl gto936s in the sail panels. $66 on amazon. A pair of kicker c635s iv the dash $55 from best buy. Hoojwd up to a Sony xplode headunit.granted I want to install door speakers to help out, it sounds really good. I'm working on my box now so I can get my Kenwood subs installed. I'd say I have around $400-$500 into my system.

Re: Audio advice...

if it were me, i would get;

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...ion-CZ702.html

some polk db 461's for the dash powered by the hu, db691's for the rears, get a 4ch amp, use two for the 6x9's and bridge the others into a single 8 or 10 in a custom sealed enclosure. the sealed sub will fill out the lows in the rock and country well.
i have kicker c series and listen to the same music and it sounds pretty good. you would have to get a 4ohm sub, most more reasonably priced amps are only good for 4ohms bridged.
