They say that 3-10's will hit harder than 2-12's becouse the 10's will move more air than the 12's in you add up the square feet.

Car: 86 LG4 & 92 TBI Firebird
Engine: The Mighty 305!
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3.42
It all depends on the brand of subs and the box. With the same brand, and a good box, i would say that the three 10s will hit harder, but the two 12s will have deeper bass.
