POWER WIRE QUESTION, jim85iroc
-what guage Power Wire would i need to run a Power Acoustik 680watt amp?. right now i have 10 guage Power Wire. Does anyone know?
-Also.. is a Power Acoustiks amp any good?
-How about the GRDs and REMs wires? should i get a higher guage for them too?

I would use at least a 4-gauge wire. I ran 2-gauge wire w/100 amp fuse running 2-punch500m, 1-punch200 and a punch100 and it worked just fine. As for the grade of the wire go with the base model stuff anything better and it's just a waste of money.

How many ampers is the fuse rated for thats on the amp?
The power and ground wires should be the same gauge. The remote wire can be just a thin wire since it only supplies a 12v source and not current.

In my previous experiences, power acoustik amps are grossly over-rated, which is why you should look at the fuse. That will help determine exactly what you need.
