GTA Subs Template

Hey everyone: I'm looking for info on the GTA Subwoofer and 4x6 panels which take the place of the normal 6x9 panels. I guess you'd refer to these as templates (the sheet metal w/ the speaker cutouts)???????? Does anyone have these laying around (fat chance) or know their surface dimensions (where the cutouts exactly are)?

The sub/4x6 combo was more then just a cutout, it was a whole little odd shaped box that was fitted in behind the panel.

Thanks for the info, i found a pair today in a junk yard. Can any GTA owners comment on the sound you get out of em'??? w/ or w/o the stock radio?? I've seen the wiring diagram and i know they'll work w/ an aftermarket radio, but just curious about how good..??

I have the UQ7 setup in my red '88 GTA and, well..... it sounds better than the same car without the subs, I'll put it that way. My black Notchback GTA does not have the sub system on it, and that car's sound system is virtually "bass-less".

On the UQ7 car, the bass is decent at low volume levels, but fades quickly one you turn up the sound. Keep in mind that both cars are still running the stock radios; I have no idea what you'd find hooked up to a high-power aftermarket deck.

A car with the standard setup (4x6 & 6x9) has much more "sonic" potential, I think..... starting from scratch.
