I just installed this radio and cant seem to figure out how to set the presets.

Anyone?

 

Try holding the button a few seconds

 

ive tried that. it just goes to the old preset. it has a program function, but im unsure how it works.

 

That's always been my experience with this family of radios....set the station you want with the dial...press and hold down the preset button you want for 3 - 5 seconds, and that's it.

 

That looks like an 82-83 vintage Delco radio. I've only had a few of those here. I know you have to pull out the seek and scan buttons to set the time. If by finding a station you want to preset, normally you press and hold a button until there is no sound and then the station comes back on. If that does not work, try pulling the button out and hold for 3-5 seconds.

 

Thanks guys! yeah i had to pull the preset button out and push it back in. installed it cause the old one wouldnt play all the speakers.
