building boxes for camaro?

I was wondering if there are any posts on dimensions for a box to fit in a 92 rs. My brother really wants me to build one, but I can't think of what would be the best size or shape for one. Are there any links to sites with directions on how to do this. I have read plenty on building boxes and have seen a few boxes built, so I know how to physically do it, it is just a matter of the plans for it. Any help would be good. Thanks.

I have had 2 different sub systems in my car, one took up the whole trunk, but the one I have now is nice. I measured the well in the back of the trunk and cut a piece of my old bow to fit in it. The well is perfect for it. It has shelves on the side for the wood to sit on and leave pleanty of room underneath for the subs and airspace. It sounds great b/c all the sound reflects off the rear window and right at me. I used basic self tapping screws to hold it down, but I havent had a chance to seal it yet. If you would like I could measure it for you, but it isn't tough to do. I hope this at least gives you an idea.

So you just used one board (was it medium density fiberboard?) and then you used the actual well for the box. How are you going to seal this? Has anyone else done this? The carpet in the well doesn't screw up the sound at all? Does it sound really good?

He seems happy with it, but I've done plates, partial boxes like his and full boxes. The first two are absolutely, 100% useless as far as I'm concerned. There is absolutely no way that I'll ever put a stereo into a thirdgen without a completely sealed (or ported) box. There just simply is no comparison.

So how to I make the full sealed box? That well is an odd shape so it would be hard to fit a box in it I would think.

The beauty of having that well down there is that you don't have to make a box to perfectly take up all the room on the side. What I did is just made a box that was rectangular and fit at the bottom, then I built a top board to cover up the box so it looked like everything was cut to fit. The single 10" sub that is in the box faces down into the well and has about 2" of clearence to move. Anyway check out the link below to see a picture of what i have in the back of my IROCZ28.
