As long as the highs are filtered out, that shouldnt hurt them. Is it 100w max or RMS?

Sound, by its nature, is dynamic. It is not constant. If you had a 200 watt amp, it would only be putting out 200 watts when it was at its limit. As soon as you turn it down, it puts out less. So a 100 watt amp is no different than a 200 watt amp that's turned down 1 notch. It in itself will not damage your sub. The problem is that people try to get too much out of a smaller amp. They crank it up beyond what it is capable of. Once you overdrive an amp, you distort the signal. Normal sine waves are smooth and allow the sub's motion to slowly transition from one direction to the next. An overdriven amp creates a "clipped" sine wave. This is just what it sounds like. It's a sine wave who's tops and bottoms have been clipped off. Speakers are not capable of reproducing such a signal, and will tear themselves apart trying. Sending a clipped signal into a sub will blow it in a hurry. This is why underpowered amps can be more damaging to speakers than overpowered amps.
My Oz subs can withstand 400+ watts (each) from my Kicker amp, but I guarantee that I could hook up a 50 watt Jensen amp and destroy them very easily. The key is to be able to hear the distortion and turn it down.
