I have some wiring questions for my 89 RS

OK, i have a 1989 RS and i have the upgraded delco bose sound system, and they way these things are wired are they have 4 wires going to each speaker, only you can't see the speaker cause its in a big plastic thing that is near impossible to open. anyway, the way it is in the back is, i have a lid to my trunk and in the lid are 2 speakers, ok if you lift up the lid you see the wires going into the big plastic thing that the speakers are in and the way they connect are there are four wires into this little quick disconnect thing and then they go into the plastic. Well i want to put subs in here but what the hell wires do i use? what are all these wires for? im sure the people at my local stereo shop who are installing it will work it out but ide like to know. Also i know you think its dumb but i got some inexpensive rockford 5" coaxials to put in the back when i get my subs in, just as a temporary thing till i get more money for some better ones. but will they be fine? what im planning to do is, when i get my car back with everything installed, i am gonna run a wire from the wire they use for the input to the amp, and connect my speakers. will that be ok? nothing wrong with that right? and get some little crossovers for them. tell me what you think, cause i can't just not have speakers in the back, thats where the majority of my sound comes from!
