Stereo noise Q's

Ok,I just put in my new cd player and its great except i have a lot of noise in the radio music. When i put in a cd it dosent do it.Also when i have the key on accesory and have the door open it soes a bad humming sound, but when i push the button beside the door(the one that pushes in when u close the door) the noise goes away even when the door is still open.I took my antenna off one time and cleaned it it wouldnt go all the way back down on the base.Any suggestions on what to do?
Thanks

The first recommendation I would make to you is go to radio shack and pick up a good noise filter for the power line. This will filter out most if not all of the electrical noise in the system. Just be sure to hook it up as close to the radio as possible (short wires) using a good connection such as crimp style butt connectors. A good one to try looks like a large black cannister with two wires comming out of each end. I use one of theese on the cb radio in my truck and it works WONDERS!

Hope this helps and good luck!!

I wouldn't bother with the noise filter. You are getting noise through the antenna. You said yourself that the plug wouldn't go on all the way. That is the source of your problem. You need to push harder or use pliers or whatever it takes to get the plug secure and in place.
