what is MDF

what is it. i have always used partical board for my boxes. i like partical board but if this MDF stuff is better i will use it. but i have never heard of it so i guess thats why i haven't used it.

Axle/Gears: 3.42
Medium Density Fiberboard. Yes, its better then partical board cause its stronger, and is really the only thing you should build a box out of, except for maybe fiberglass.

MDF is so much more pleasant to work with too. No wood chips in my eyes, and no chipped corners. It cuts so smoothly, sands nicely and is just extremely pleasant to work with. I just wish my local hardware store stocked it.

you should watch it on those corners with mdf, i sliced my finger open pretty good when i made my box, like a really bad papercut

for added strength, coat the inside of the box with fiberglass resin jelly.
