Rear BOSE Shelf ?
I forgot the colors but Here goes.
Red/orange = 12v
Black = Ground
The other 2 are your speaker inputs and should match the colors of the factory 6x9 wires in the sail panels.
The amps need a low level output like from an rca or they will sound like crap because they are over driven. I got a impedance matcher from an electronics store for $7.99 that had 4 tiny wires in for a left and right input and 2 RCA's out to go to an amp. I cut 2 inputs off and soldered regular speaker wire to the circuit board and I removed both RCA's and soldered speaker wire in it's place. I have one on each side mounted under the wireing harness on the speaker enclosures under the hatch. I removed my 6x9's to do this and just extended their wires. Thats the best way to do it.

Randy, thanks for the info. If I am reading you right. The stereo in the car already has an amp, so the speakers would be getting power from 2 sources,thus overdriving them. Right now I have them hooked into my 4X6 harness in the sail panels (GTA with the sail panel sub option), and they sound OK for factory, but I would like to take advantage of those BOSE subs as well. Do you forsee a problem with keeping the 4x6 speakers hooked up regularly and just hooking up the BOSE subs at the end?
Dude thats exactly what I'm doing to my camaro. I have the UQ7 pods in for the sail panels but haven't installed them yet. I replaced the blown out speakers with a 4x6 and a 5.25" both with tweeters. I'm planning to use a crossover to give the 4x6 the mids and highs and the deck subs the lows, running full freq range into the 5.25's. I'm also going to try to get the bose kick panels to work and some 4x6's in the dash. My kicks are missing the amps though.
You are correct about the radio amp sending too much power to the rear deck amps and overdriving the speakers. Until I figured that out I had the fader all the way to the front to keep them from sounding super distorted.
How is the UQ7 setup from the factory? Are there still 4x6's in the dash? I know the amps are in the dash.

Yeah, the last time I had my dash pad off, there were 4x6s in there. For a factory radio I think the original system sounds pretty good. The only complaint I have is the subs in the sail panels. Have to keep the gain on low for the woofers because it seems like it vibrates to much. They may be just old, I really dont know. I liked the idea of that rear storage door with the speakers. I have the amps on it bypassed right now and it sounds pretty good( hardly ever use the sail subs unless I am on the highway. Picked up that rear shelf with amps about a year ago for 30.00 + shipping in mint condition. Could not pass that up. In fact I just recarpeted it in gray to match the interior. I think I will call a stereo shop and see what they may have to say. Overall I am happy with the way it sounds, however if I have the amps, I would like to use them if possible.
