86 Iroc needs bump
Soo... finishing up a beautiful resto on my 86 iroc(pics coming soon)... looking for info on A/M audio, my weakness in cars lol... I'm looking to amplify my rear speakers and a pair of subs.... will a 4 channel amp do the trick for this? or am i better off running 2 separate amps? I'm not a real stickler for sound quality and just looking to add a little bass... any and all input is greatly appreciated!

If you have good speakers you can get away with just running a 4 channel amp and no subs. Had a friend do this in a newer car to add a little kick. Subs take up space and if you aren't wanting drastically more then why bother shoehorning one in?

agree with that, or a fairly easy way to add a little bit would be one of those package, sub tubes with the amp integrated.

Re: 86 Iroc needs bump
The only issue with third gens are that the rear speakers face each other, canceling bass response. You can add an amp and wire one speaker out of phase from the other. This will add more response. Also add a baffle behind the speaker if you can.
Note: This doesn't work on all cars for some reason, but will work on most.
