4x6 or not?

I need an opinion on if I should replace the front 4x6 speakers and add kick panel speakers or if I should just disconnect the 4x6's and put in some kick speakers.

the car is:
1990 camaro

Use one or the other, not both. It'll kill your imaging and your frequency response won't be smooth because of the interraction between the different speakers.

Thank's dude! That's what I wanted to hear. I just got the Alpine 4x6's and don't like them. I was looking for a reason to take them back. Hear anything wrong with fosgate for the door speakers? And another opinion.....5.25 or 6.50? Will both sizes fit in the door?

What would the better choice be for better sound? I would think it to be the door/kick speakers cause they are bigger....but I am not positive. Any ideas?

If you have power windows, either size will require you to build out the doors the full depth of the speakers. Not fun. If you have manual windows, you can fit most 6.5" speakers right down in the bottom without interference from the crank, but you may have the grill contact the kick panel with the door closed. The rockford speakers are decent. I like how their FNQ (or whatever the hell their best model is) separates sound, but don't car for the other separates. Their coaxes are decent.
