Rockford CD player?
Ok, I don't know squat about audio and I don't even know if that is the right way u spell the CD player I am looking for. But I have had someone tell me that a company by the name of Rockford sells a CD player that lights up a orangish color. The color similar too the Ponitac dash lights. Is this true and if it is where do I get one and how much? My factory tape player isn't going to cut it anymore. Thanks

I believe that the Rockford Fosgate deck that you are referring to has selectable amber or green illumination. They make a few models, their lower ones ranging from $250 to $350. You can go to www.rockfordfosgate.com to check them out.

Ummm, I know on the older series of decks, the rfx 8130 and 8140 had it, and I believe the others did as well. It shoudl say in the description of the deck wether it has the duel colored display or not. I believe the current series of decks still go by the RFX line name, so the bigger the numbers afterwords, the higher in the series. On another note, the orange lighting for the decks matched the firebird dashlighting VERy well. I ran an RFX-8130 in my car for a while and it was a very good match...not to mention they're great decks. I never had any problems at all with mine, and now its in one of the loudest SPL vehicles in the state of Illinois.

Nakamichi decks also have the option of green or amber illumination, I think you have to specify when you order though -- it's not a switchable thing..
I plan on getting a 45z eventually, it's a damn nice deck..
