What would it take to blow 2 JL 10's?

I have been messing around with the volume and bass on my system trying to find out what sounds best. I have an Alpine deck, and the model # is something like CDM-7857. I have Polk's all around, and a 600-watt Kenwood running to two 10" JL WO's. I've never had subs before, or even a friend who's had them so I'm a complete novice. Can I bump this as loud as I would realistically want to without a problem? Also, the bass and treble go up or down 10 notches either way. Where should I leave them for the best sound? Is "treble" pretty much everything that isn't bass (ie lyrics)? I find sometimes that if I leave them both at zero, and I'm listening to rap or bassy rock, the bass is substantially louder than the lyrics. I'm hoping someone here has had a similar system, or works with stereos for a living and can offer some good advice. Thanks....

if i remember right, 10" WO can handle 115 rms but dont quote me, i have a 12" WO and it can handle 125 rms and it has put out more than 130 dbs without having a problem, your subs should have a peak power of like around 400 w. if you listen to them resonably, (not loud like your eardrums will bleed when you listen more than 5 min.) they will produce good sound.

oh and for your bass and treble boost that your deck has, the treble can be all the way up but the bass has to be fine tuned to your speakers.
