hey jim...

i saw a post on the electronics board something along the lines of.. if you run a system you should run at least say a 8ga from the alternator directally to the battery along with the normal wire to the distro block, to maximize alternator life.. sound like a possibility to you?

It can't really hurt. The alternator will be supplying the power via your battery, so technically I suppose you should have the same gauge as you use to go to your distribution block.
